Describe the events that happened at Capulet's party. After Romeo and Mercutio convinced Romeo to go to a party for him to forget Rosaline, he sees an amazingly beautiful young girl named Juliet. They kiss even though they do not know the fact that their families are enemies. After the party, Romeo hides from his friends to avoid them mocking him. He then meets Juliet at her balcony and they actually talk about getting married. What premonitions occur in the play? What is their dramatic purpose? The first one is before the party, when Romeo feels that something bad will happen. He was right because he has discovered that his love is actually his family's enemy's daughter. The second and final premonition is occurred by Friar Lawrence who thinks that something evil has happened, (in the last act) and he was right because both, Romeo and Juliet died. These premonitions have a dramatic purpose because they actually happen and are leading to Romeo and Juliet's death so actually making the tragedy happen. Romeo feels that something bad will happen and he meets the love of his life that is suppose to be his enemy. That leading to a wedding and a confusion about Juliet's death who is actually asleep leading to Romeo killing himself and when Juliet wakes up she kills herself too because she saw her husband dead. Friar Lawrence assumes that something evil has happened and he was right because not only he sees Paris dead but Romeo and Juliet are dead too.Give an account of the fight in which Mercutio and Tybalt are killed. Show how this precipitates the action of the tragedy.First, Mercutio was just fooling around in the fountain. Then Tybalt came and insulted Romeo by saying that he is a scoundrel and wanted to challenge him and Romeo refused the challenge because he realized that he could not hurt his love's cousin. When Mercutio saw that Tybalt was going because Romeo refused to challenge him, he decided to do it himself. He provoked Tybalt because he felt like he has waited for this moment long enough. Romeo tried to stop them but while he was coming between them and in front of Mercutio trying to protect him and to get them to stop fighting. But while doing that, Tybalt got Mercutio under Romeo's arm that's how he dies. As Romeo is extremely mad about his cousin and best friend's death, he decides to have revenge and kills Tybalt. These fights precipitate the action of the tragedy because it causes Romeo's exile for killing. Also, Capulet and his wife think that their daughter Juliet is extremely sad about her cousin's death but she is actually sad about Romeo's exile to Mantua. So they think that marrying Paris will cheer her up. As she does not like Paris and wants to stay true to Romeo, Friar Lawrence gave her a potion for her to be asleep. Romeo thinks she is dead and he kills himself. When Juliet wakes up, she sees Romeo dead and commits suicide as well. So that tragedy is kind of because of the two families that hate each other but in that scene...
